What makes me happy...

What makes me happy? Well on days that end in "y" large j.hays style pour of wine do result in happiness for this girl. Yet,  I look for happiness in situations, places, memories, and people because if you search for happiness or contentment in materialistic things you will always fall short. Back to what makes me happy :) 

-Waking up to realize you don't have to get out of bed yet.

-candles! I always have a candle burning and its soooo relaxing

-sincere compliments. Got told a few days ago that my accent, "makes me feel like molasses are being poured on me when you talk," creepy or not made me laugh.

-photography. (Shooting, Editing, Posin')

-Large amounts of salad and fresh fruit. Love my veggies

-Long showers playing my Pandora loud.

-Being cozy.

-The cool side of the pillow

-reading a good book that you can't put down until you finish

-writing, journaling, blogging, 

-SPENDING TIME W/FAMILY

-UK Basketball (2nd Football)

-watching my younger brothers play basketball

-college basketball.  (#SHOUTOUT to the wildcats!)

-weddings and pure and innocent love stories

-Laughing for hours with no certain reason with the few lovely ladies I call my girls

-meeting someone new, that amazes you,

Happiness is such a weird feeling. We can't predict when we are swept over with a Tinkerbelle dusting of magic happy powder. The feeling could be because something small, or could be because you realize that the the little things that make you happy don't cost a thing(should have been listening to JLo/jenny from the block along time ago) Just know that its a wonderful gift to let your soul smile and until next time...be happy!

Life is like a box of what????

Everyone spends so much time planning, "figuring it out." Making schedules, appointments, and running errands...even when we don't feel like it. We fill our days so full to the last seconds that we forget to stop, smell the roses, and live a little. I am not "old" by any means, nor do I possess life's secret recipe with all the secret ingredients to post on my blog. But, what I do have, I'll give you. Its advice. No matter if you were born today or tomorrow is your last day to live...enjoy it. Whatever it is that makes the person that you are smile...and find happiness, hold on and cherish it. Life may be like a box of chocolates according to the wise Mr.Gump....we may not know what were going to get...yet I want to be the girl that doesn't mind either way. Give me my box of chocolates, I'll be satisfied with what I get...and if not...I'll give the ones I don't like to you. :) 

"Off" Days

Lets just face it. We all have them, as 'sucky' as they may be...these "Off" days hit us all. Of course certain events and happenings make certain days of the week, off days. Yet, there are those very rare days when everything just feels out of place...and that my friends is what today was for this girl here. See, we can pretend I wasn't hungover from too much tequila last night...but indeed I was. And on a side note: usually any tequila is too much tequila. I guess my off day could have been a result of my hang over but who knows really. Thats how off days are...when they hit you just roll with it. So, I spent today rollin with it. I have been in a bad mood bears mood all day. Cheers to waking up tomorrow on the right side of the bed.
